What's New - 2011 As of A Great Finish to a Great Year...!!! On December 10 and 11, 2011, at the Granite City Shows in St Cloud, MN, we picked up AKC points on both Danny, BPIG Ch. Dalgarnoch Opening Act, and Olivia, Ch.Dalgarnoch Olivia De Havilland. Saturday, Olivia took Winners Female, and Best of Opposite Sex, and Danny, Reserve Winners Male. Sunday, was another great day for us with Olivia taking Best of Winners, Best of Opposite Sex, and Danny garnished, Winners Male. We are just so proud of these two beauties, but especially Olivia, as she is 4 generations our own breeding. Winner Takes All...!!! A Dream Weekend..... Not only did we have a "clean sweep" at the Thunder Bay Kennel and Training Club shows this month, but "New" Champion Dalgarnoch Olivia De Havilland became our 4th Champion for the year 2011. What a way to finish the show season..... With entries of 11 & 12, starting on Friday, under judge Doug Windsor, (Hailey), Ch Dalgarnoch Strike a Pose, took a Group 3rd, (Danny), Ch. Dalgarnoch Opening Act, Best of Opposite Sex, and (Olivia), Dalgarnoch Olivia De Havilland, Best of Winners. On Saturday, judge Elaine Whitney gave Danny, a Group 2nd, with Hailey, going Best of Opposite Sex, and Olivia again taking Best of Winners. To top the weekend off, judge Honey Glendinning on Sunday, awarded Danny, a Group 3, Hailey, another Best of Opposite, and Olivia her 3rd Best of Winners, to become "New" Champion, Dalgarnoch Olivia De Havilland. Hailey as always was handled beautifully, by her co-owner and trainer, Maggie Redfern Pucci. Congratulation to Taylor Marttunen, for bringing our 4 time past reserve WF Olivia, to her Championship, and of course, Trish my always be there friend, handling Danny superbly. Dalgarnoch Strike a Pose, who took 3 of the 4 Best of Opposite Sex, and with Jessica Kawalczyk taking Shane, Ch. Amberlyn's Destiny at Dalgarnoch all the way to 2 Group 2nd and a 3rd Best of Breed. Taylor Marttunen, owner/handler, and trainer of Pirate, "New" Champion, Dalgarnoch Long John Silver, started the weekend off with a bang, garnishing a Winners Male at the first show to finish. Pirate's championship now gives his mother, BPIG Ch. Dalgarnoch Fashion Statement, her coveted ROMC. Not to be left out, our sweetheart, Dalgarnoch Olivia De Havilland came away with 4 Reserve Winners Female. Watch out everyone, she is knocking on the door. Argus Kennel Club June 24/25/26, 2011 Taylor Marttunen, handling Pirate, Dalgarnoch Long John Silver beautifully, took a Best of Winners under judge Cheryl Myers Egerton on Saturday. Trained and exclusively shown by Taylor, Pirate needs only 2 points to finish, and to give his dam BPIG Ch. Dalgarnoch Fashion Statement, her ROMC. Nice work Taylor. Melanie Parker, took to the ring once more with our sweety Tasha, "New" Champion Dalgarnoch Natasha HIC. This super team garnished a Winners Female on Friday, under Chris Neilson completing her Championship. She can now retire and hopefully give us another Opal, Ch. Dalgarnoch Opal Essence, our beautiful bi black girl. Thanks Melanie, you both deserved the win. And congratulations to Maggie Redfern Pucci and Hailey, BPIG Ch. At the Specialty, "Danny" Dalgarnoch Opening Act took Winners Male for 2 points and Taylor Marttunen handling "Pirate" Dalgarnoch Long John Silver was Reserve Winners Male. Lori Stecky with her wonderful team "Empy" Ch. Dalgarnoch Emperor, and "Strykr" Ch. Dalgarnoch Strykr of Wildpine went on to win their 3rd Best Brace In Show. And Lucy, BPIS Ch. Fairfax Lucinda showed what a wonderful mother she is, with her two boys Dalgarnoch Wait and See, and Ch. Dalgarnoch Opening Act, winning the Best Brood Bitch in Specialty. We're sorry that Trish McGonigal had left before we took the picture. She had handled Crosby all weekend. Not to be outdone, our Seniors did us proud. "Shane" Ch. Amberlyn's Destiny at Dalgarnoch, won Best Veteran Male in Specialty, with Gracie Pella, and "Coby" Ch. Dalgarnoch Roust A Bout going Reserve. And my sweet 10 1/2 yr old "Amber" Ch. Dalgarnoch Velvet Goldmine, against girls years younger, took 2nd in the Veteran's Sweeps. As always, Beth Redfern Pucci showed her beautifully. Dalgarnoch Opening Act Ch. Dalgarnoch Emperor and Ch. Dalgarnoch Velvet Goldmine Lakehead Kennel Club Danny, Dalgarnoch Opening Act, started off Friday morning, winning Best In Sweeps, with an entry of 25+. He then went on in the afternoon to take Winners Male and Best Puppy in Breed for his 1st 2 points. On Saturday, he obtained a Best Of Winners and another Best Puppy in Breed, for 3 points. On Sunday with winning a 2nd Best of Winners and a Best Puppy in Breed for 3 more points, he became "New" Champion Dalgarnoch Opening Act, obtaining his Championship in just 4 shows. Handled as always by Melanie Parker. Olivia, Dalgarnoch Olivia De Havilland at her first show took Best Of Winners with Taylor Marttunen handling. Lori Stecky once again with the dynamic duo of Ch.
