Star was that once in a lifetime dog for me. With her outgoing personality and love of showing, she was often a serious contender in the group ring. She was also our first dual American and Canadian champion and we did it breeder/owner/handled. What a thrill that was! To make it even more special, she finished her American championship with a huge 5 point major at a specialty. Star was also recognized for being the #1 female in Canada for 1999, 2000 and 2001.

At home she was Ken's shadow and greeted him after each work day with her woo-woos. In the winter, it also meant tending to the outdoor wood furnace and it was her job to see that it was done right. To the younger dogs at home, she was their mentor, protector and best buddy. To me, she was a great friend and together we went to alot of shows and saw most of Canada in the process. We also met alot of people that we still call friends today because of her.
