Inook was our first malamute and he came to us from Keikewabic Kennels in 1989. Initially we were looking for a companion, but instead this red bundle of energy came into our lives. Would we be interested in showing him? And that's how it started ... with Inook. To say it was a learning experience was an understatement for those who knew him, but we persevered and he obtained his championship. Always the character, he entertained us daily with his antics and passed along this happy disposition to all his offspring.

When Inook was a veteran (over 7 years of age) and had settled down somewhat, I decided to enter him in a sweepstakes offered by our local kennel club. He enjoyed himself immensely and actually behaved! Thus started his second career, this time as a veteran. Upon his retirement at the age of 12 1/2 years, he had won a number of Veteran Sweepstakes and left the ring undefeated.

Inook was an amazing dog and we feel privileged to have had him for almost 15 years. We know that his spirit lives on ... we miss you Big Boy!
