- | teach and lead parish youth leaders and the Deanery Youth Unit (youth and adult) in the development of leadership skills, music and program resources. |
- | serve as a resource to parish youth leaders (youth and adults) and the D.Y.U. for program, music and leadership skill needs development. |
- | be an advocate for youth. |
- | attend some Sunday worship services, as needed, with the permission of the incumbent. |
In partnership with parish leadership the youth facilitator will
- | stimulate and promote youth ministry in each parish of the deanery. |
- | support, nurture and encourage youth leadership in the parishes. |
- | liaise between parish and deanery administrations, parish youth workers, D.Y.U., Diocesan youth worker, Youth Ministry Committee of the Diocese, encourage and assist in the faith development of youth workers and youth. |
- | encourage and assist in the establishment of a Deanery Youth Ministry Consultation [comprising] youth leaders provided by the parishes. |
- | encourage and assist in the establishment of a five year vision for Youth Ministry in the parishes. |
The Youth Facilitator reports to
- | the Youth Facilitator Advisory Committee at regularly montly meetings. |
- | the Deanery Council meetings three times a year. |
- | Clericus on an occasional basis as requested by either party. |
- | the Archdeacon when requested by that office. |

Thunder Bay Anglicans
The Deanery of Thunder Bay includes not only the city and rural areas, but
Nipigon, Schreiber/Terrace Bay, Marathon and Manitouwadge.
The Diocese of Algoma (to which the Deanery of Thunder Bay belongs. The Bishop's seat is in Sault Ste. Marie.)
