Thunder Bay Benchrest Club Goals

There is a strong member ethic to promote the rifle benchrest portion of the target shooting sports. Consequently any new member can look forward to learning the technical skills from some of the best shooters locally. And hopefully they too will later pass on their new precision skills to other learning shooters.

Membership

Thunder Bay Benchrest Club (TBBC) is a member club under the umbrella of the Thunder Bay District Fish & Game Association (TBDF&GA): You can read about TBDF&GA and see the master range schedules for all member clubs on their website.

Our eleven rifle and pistol and archery ranges are located on more than sixty acres in the City at 260 Pento Road (off Government Road near Dawson Road). The facilities are secured by TBDF&GA member-only electronic key access.

Every member of TBBC must first be a current paid up member of Thunder Bay District Fish & Game Association, holding at least a general membership there.

At this time there is a fee of $5.00 to join TBBC. This annual fee is for our incidental expenses and may be raised in future towards our club's specific events.

Other Shooting Clubs in the Thunder Bay Area

Of course we love shooting with our club and the other clubs at TBDF&GA, but some of our members also belong to the following shooting clubs:

New Ontario Shooters Association (NOSA) has use of an indoor pistol and rimfire rifle range in the city from September through April, and outdoor pistol and rifle ranges at Nolalu from May through October.

Thunder Bay Trap and Skeet Club has year-round shotgun ranges for Trap and Skeet and Sporting Clays about 6 km past the Stanley Hotel on Hwy 588.
