I recorded this perversion of La Bamba years ago in a make-your-own-tape booth. Now that I have a device for converting to digital, I can foist it upon you.

Singing at Christian Women's Club
Sept. 21,22

I sang my own "Little One" and Dylan's "Lord, Protect My Child".

Judging from her facial expression, I guess the lady in the foreground is not a Dylan fan (or worse: she is!!).

This wasn't a time for me to sing, but to enjoy the performance of the Sweet Adelines.

Heidi's dad worked with mine and so we've known each other since childhood. She and her sister, Natalie, were the ones who invited me to Dorion Bible Camp. She "graduated" from Camp and got married and had a couple of children. (I didn't.) The children soon came to camp, but the marriage ended after seven years. Twenty five years later she and her ex, Murray, got back in touch due to the birth of their first grandchild. One thing led to another and they decided they wanted to get remarried!! My mother and I were happy to attend this special event at the Unitarian Hall (followed by the reception at the Journey to Wellness Centre on Amelia St.).
