Royal Canadian Army Service Corps
Victory is the beautiful, bright coloured flower. Transport is the stem without which it could never have blossomed. - Winston Churchill
Canada Post proudly salutes the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps (RCASC), which was formed on November 1st, 1901. The role of this integral unit was to provide the army with combat supplies, transportation, food service and clerical support - in times of peace and in times of unrest. RCASC soldiers continually put themselves at varying levels of personal risk to provide vital services during the First World War, the Second World War, the Korean War and United Nations operations, while maintaining admirable levels of dedication, distinction, devotion and pride.
The RCASC is a proud predecessor of the Canadian Forces Logistics Branch.
