The album's name comes from the fact this is ANVIL's 13th studio release. In keeping with the theme there are 13 tracks on this album.
"This Is Thirteen" and the re-recordings of "Metal On Metal" and "666" are available for the videogame Rock Band.
This album was their last album with Ivan Hurd. He plays solos on "Burning Bridges", "Room #9" and "Worry".
Notice the Liberator release has a slightly different cover. It has a small circle in the top left corner that says INCLUDES 3 BONUS TRACKS "METAL ON METAL" "666" "THUMB HANG".
