The Amethyst Siberian Husky Club hosted a Canine Reproduction Seminar & Wet Lab facilitated by Steven Nelson from Minneapolis on April 5 & 6, 2003.  We were overwhelmed with the response from the canine community to this seminar, ending up with 26 participants.

Among other things the participants learned:

  • why you should consider using chilled or frozen semen,
  • how to protect your valuable stud dog & brood bitch by using artificial insemination,
  • how to reduce the risk of STD's, contagious diseases and parasites spreading throughout your kennel,
  • what to check for without & with a microscope, and
  • what & where to look for equipment and how much to spend.

Attached is an up-to-date list, directly from the Canadian Kennel Club, of "Approved Facilities for Collecting Canine Semen in Canada"...
