"Metal On Metal" and "666" were originally recorded on METAL ON METAL.
The album's name comes from the fact this is ANVIL's 13th studio release. In keeping with the theme there are 13 tracks on this album.
Michael Phillip Wojewoda plays the intro to "Thumb Hang".
"This Is Thirteen" and the re-recordings of "Metal On Metal" and "666" are available for the videogame Rock Band.
This album was their last album with Ivan Hurd. He plays solos on "Burning Bridges", "Room #9" and "Worry".
"Thumb Hang" was originally written by Lips and Robb Reiner in the 1970s when they were in high school.
All three bonus tracks ("Metal On Metal" [2009 re-recording], "666" [2009 re-recording] and "Thumb Hang") also appear on MONUMENT OF METAL.
