I've tried to figure out what most made me sad at this event:

Yes, seeing "1978 - 2003" on the screen below my name rather than "1978 - Present" was sobering. They don't see me as so bad that I belong with the unacknowledged, but still it felt like an epitaph. "I'm not dead yet!"

But overall, I believe the greatest tragedy is the lack of reconciliation, despite my co-operation with the board's efforts. It's so sad that the staff men's camping trip C., K. & I were planning for June '03 did not take place. Maybe under the stars we could have just been human and open with one another about our differences and pre-empted our falling out. I hope that idea has not been abandoned, as back then C. expressed to me enthusiasm for its potential for good.

But that's it for "ranting" [better "venting"] on this page today. Apparently, that's what blogs are for.
