I designed this device for an operator who owns several Planet Earth, or Five Star Redemption games that use one or more motors.
It is necessary because the motors are on all the time resulting in premature motor failure.
It is transparent to the coin circuit, and plugs directly between the coin input and computer board.
The motors are then plugged into the unit.
When a coin is detected, it turns on the motors for a preset time, as set by the operator using the POT on the front of the unit.
Five units have been in continuous operation since December 2001 - without any failures.
