A webzine by Anna Humphrey (Webmaven's Note: this webzine now has a new editor named Lauren) for girls 13 to 18 that is "feminist, yet girly", which is emphatically not a contradiction!

NORTHwestERN ontario WOMEN'S CENTRE
what is shaking down there.

Please excuse the mess! We've been busy giving the Centre a badly needed coat of new paint. This gigantic effort has been organized by Lindsay and numerous energetic volunteers (way to go, board!). Since the work seems to be proceeding a bit at a time, it will appear more disorganized than usual for a little while yet. And check out our new sign next time you pass by. We hope our facelift will be complete by International Women's Week.

We still need help! If you'd like to volunteer to work in the Centre, or at events for International Women's Week, give us a call at 345-7802. Other news: Survival Guide is still in progress. And no, we are not running a drive thru restaurant! But, the coordinator is pleased to announce that her neck feels much better now that she has a telephone headset to talk into . Other new purchases include: a working vacuum cleaner and a VCR. If OWD comes through in April, we will replace our ancient phones.

The Resource Committee has been meeting and has lots of ideas for new resources to order. Is there a book or video you think we should have in our library? Let us know, and we'll consider it.

FEMINEXUS
FESTIVAL OF FABULOUS FEMALE FLAIR

March 11 is YOUNG WOMEN'S DAY!
Revolution Girl Style is looking for focussed and dedicated young women to help out with the planning and organizing for the Feminexus Festival, to take place on March 10 at the Youth Centre Annex. We want to include some women's community groups, women merchants, performers, poets, singers and bands and artists. If you're interested in helping to organize the event, want to be involved as a performer or merchant, or just want more information, contact Heather, Emmy or Marcelle at the Youth Centre at 633-4666.
