ESS Training

On March 24th & 25th 2007, NOASARA members put on a special Electronic Search Specialist (ESS) Course for out of town CASARA members. Two members from Southwestern Ontario attended the two day training course. They included Glen Blumberg, & Ron Kurelo. Theodore "Rock" Lambiris also attended the training from the US. All three members are highly involved in SAR with CASARA and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. The course instructor was Chris Chadwick with help from NOASARA members Dan Kuss, Rob Chandler, Kieran Van Wagoner, and Jason Hughes. The training included a classroom session and ELT homing practice around the airport on Saturday. On Sunday, an obstacle course with 3 ELT locations was setup. Congratulations to the members for completing the training and earning the qualification as a CASARA Electronic Search Specialist.
