Community Access Program

What is the Community Access Program? (CAP)

Industry Canada's Community Access Program (CAP) gives thousands of Canadians affordable access to the Internet in places like schools, community centres and libraries. It provides access to those people who might not have computers or Internet access in their homes or workplaces.

CAP is also complemented by its youth initiative, the Community Access Program Youth Initiative (CAP YI). The youth program provides employment opportunities to young Canadians between the ages of 15 to 30 in various CAP sites across the country.

The Regional Multicultural Youth Centre is one of the sites that is a part of CAP and offers computer services to the community.
