Classifications

In all breeds, recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC)
the following classes will be provided for, divided by sex.

Junior Puppy	6 Months and under 9 Months
Senior Puppy	9 Months and under 12 Months
12-18 months	For all dogs 12-18 months of age
Canadian Bred	Dogs born in Canada (Champions of any country excluded)
Bred by Exhibitor	Dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder
Open	For all dogs
Specials Only	For Canadian Champions
Exhibition Only	For all dogs over 6 Months of age and eligible for registration with the Canadian Kennel Club

Notes:

In all breeds, where classes are divided by colour, weight, or coat, indicate clearly in the class division on the entry forms.
Points are not awarded to incorrect or incomplete entries.
When a dog is co-owned, the names of all owners must appear on the entry form.
Enter the dog under it's registered name, not it's call name or another dog's name. The only exception is with listed dogs where the name may change upon registration.
A foreign dog registered in another country must be entered under it's registered name in the country of origin.
All entry forms must be legible - type or print the information.

Event Registration Number

Effective January 1, 1992, all dogs that are foreign born and foreign owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) events, will no longer require a CKC registration number, but will require an EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER (ERN). This ERN does not register a dog with the CKC for breeding purposes as defined by the Animal Pedigree Act, but rather, enables a foreign born and foreign owned dog to be awarded titles by the CKC. Each dog must have its own number. This ERN must be applied for within 30 days of the first day of obtaining points, awards, or scores to avoid cancellation. If factors beyond your control prohibit this or present a problem, please send a written request to the CKC for an extension. To obtain an ERN forward request along with the fee of $58.85 to: The Canadian Kennel Club, Shows & Trials Division (address on front cover of premium list).

US Currency

We (the LKC) accept US cheques and money orders. All fees in US currency are indicated in brackets on the premium list. However, they must be payable In U.S. funds -- and for the full amount of the entry. Personally discounted cheques will not be honoured. Please do not mark personal cheques payable in Canadian Funds or At Par as such items are not readily cleared through the Banks. Your cooperation is appreciated, Thank You.

Rabies Certificates

Canada Customs requires an up-to-date rabies certificate for each dog being transported into the country.

Passports

Effective January 2007, all travelers (including US citizens and Canadians) entering the US by air will require a valid passport. By January 2008, passports will be required to travel by ground or sea. Canada Customs requires all US travelers to have appropriate ID...bring your passport if you have one.

Dog Food

Currently dog food must be brought in in UN-opened bags with the ingredients clearly readable.....NO beef or beef by-products will be allowed into Canada. (This will be up-dated if the rules change).
