I.A.T.S.E. Local 467 has represented the stagehands of Northwestern Ontario since it's charter was granted by the International on December 15th, 1920. We first were a mixed local representing both stagehands and projectionists in the sister cities of Port Arthur and Fort William, Ontario. Working in the grand movie palaces and vaudeville houses of the era, later we became mainly a projectionist local with stage work as a side line. In 1970 Port Arthur and Fort William were amalgamated forming the city of Thunder Bay, in 1985 with the completion of the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium, stage craft again flourished in our area. 1995 brought another change to our local with all the projectionists joining in Ontario into Ontario Projectionist Local 173, Local 467 in Thunder Bay was a stage local only.

As a stage local we represent and supply technicians at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium and the Fort William Gardens, consisting of Stagehands, Audio Technicians, Lighting Technicians, Stage Carpenters, Wig, Hair and Make-up, and Wardrobe. If you are staging a show or event in Thunder Bay and surrounding area and require professional crewing, give us a call and we'll fulfill your needs from our experienced labour pool.
