The Lakehead Annual General Meeting and Banquet is on Thursday, 19 November 2009, at 6:30 p.m., at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5, Van Norman Street. This is the club's 25 anniversary.

The cost is $20, and includes a roast beef dinner and a modest serving of wine. Children ten and under are $7.50, and wee ones are free.

The LCC is again offering a 2010 membership discount at 2009 prices, for those attending the banquet.

There will be a few special presentations. Jan Harding and Brian Markic, fresh from the world masters championships, have a few stories to tell. There will be highlights of 2009, and news about events coming up next year: the August 15 Paddlesport Regatta at Boulevard Lake, a new emphasis on kayak, canoe, and outrigger programming, build a recycled boat, paddle a bathtub, . . . and much more.

Please RSVP ASAP to LCC PResident Volker Krom if you wish to attend: vkromm@shaw.ca,
