The 55-member Rocky Mountain College Choir & Orchestra, under the direction of Andrew Love, will minister in concert at Redwood Park Church ,2609 Redwood Ave. on Friday, May 9th at 7:30 PM. Their inspirational music incorporates a variety of musical styles, ranging from classical and sacred to spirituals and contemporary Christian works. A love offering will be received to support their ministry.
Grace Evangelical Free Church, together with Hull's Family Bookstores, invites you to attend a free dessert and coffee evening to celebrate the launch of Dr. Austin Stouffer's new book. "95 More for the Door: A Layperson's Guide to Today's Gender Reformation", borrows from Martin Luther's idea of 95 thesis statements nailed to the door of Wittenburg Chapel. Dr. Stouffer has searched out 95 Biblical points that literally cry out for a gender-equal interpretation. The evening will feature a short Powerpoint presentation, and an opportunity to peruse Dr. Stouffer's book. Mark your calendars-that's on Friday, May 9th 7 pm at Grace Free Church, 391 N. Court St.
May 10th

Brodie St. In his recently published book, Dr. Stouffer has searched out 95 Biblical points that literally cry out for a gender-equal interpretation. Get ready for a giant yard sale, on Saturday May 10th at Evangel Church, 1260 Balmoral St. The sale runs from 9am until 2 pm-proceeds will go to the church's youth group. St. Stephen’s Anglican Church presents “ONE LAST REQUEST”, a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre presented by The Cambrian Players on Saturday, May 10th at the Current River Community Centre, 450 Dewe Avenue. The Knights of Columbus will host a pro-life prayer service at Our Lady of Charity Mausoleum in St. Andrew’s Cemetery on May 12 at 7 p.m. The prayer service, featuring the Rosary, will be led by Bishop Fred Colli.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving Thunder Bay Chapter will be hosting its 6th Annual Candlelight Vigil to honour the local victims of impaired driving. Please come out to Our Saviour’s Luther Church, 10 Farrand Street at 10:00AM on Sunday May 25th. All are invited to attend. (G)

Catholic men are invited to attend a Cursillo weekend to be held on May 29 to June 1 at the Avila Centre in Thunder Bay. A Cursillo weekend is a short course in Catholic Christianity. Teen Challenge Thunder Bay will host a Charity Golf Marathon on Monday May 23rd at the Strathcona Municipal Golf Course. The entry fee includes 36 holes of golf, use of a power cart, lunch and a steak barbecue. The fee is raised as sponsorships from family and friends. The Redwood Park
Opportunities Centre is now open. As an extension of Redwood Park Church, the
centre houses a number of care ministries "to meet the needs of people
through God's transforming love". The centre is located at 532 Edward St
North and is now the meeting place for Divorcecare, and Celebrate Recovery. The
Opportunities Centre thrift store, THREADS, quality used clothing, is open four
afternoons a week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1:00 to 4:00
p.m. Prices are very reasonable and all are welcome to come and browse.
Griefshare is a support group for grieving family or friends. The group
meets Tuesday nights at 7 PM at Evangel Church, 1260 Balmoral Street. There is

R.I.S.K. is a self help/support group for women who are or have been in

A grief support group, for seniors experiencing grief and loss, meets

The Compassionate Friends of Canada, Thunder Bay Chapter, is a non-profit
group of parents offering mutual support, friendship and hope for all parents

Do you have any spare time? Could you find 2 or 3 hours a month to
volunteer at The Salvation Army? The Booth Centre Hostel on Cumberland St. needs
volunteers in a variety of positions: preparing, serving and cleaning-up the
evening snack, befriending the residents, "hanging out" and playing
games (board games, snooker, etc.) with them, assisting with the grounds

The Salvation Army’s local Thrift Stores are in need of your gently used
items for sale at our two Thunder Bay locations. We are experiencing shortages
in all areas, including clothing, furniture and household items. Thrift Stores
rely on the generosity of the community to donate their used items, which are
then sold at affordable prices. Proceeds from Thrift Stores fund vital Salvation
Army programs and services. Donations will be gratefully accepted at both of our
convenient locations, 870 Red River Road and Memorial Avenue. We also offer free
pick up.
