Ontario Disability Support Program - Employment Supports

Avenue II is a recognized service provider for the Ontario Disability Support Program and provides customized employment and career services to meet the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities. Our experienced team will assist in developing an employment plan, resume and interview preparation as well as job search. Job coaching and follow up is provided to promote employment success.

What are ODSP Employment Supports?


The Employment Supports component is a voluntary program funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services that assists people with disabilities prepare for, find and maintain employment. Eligible clients will receive disability-related goods and/or services to assist them to obtain and maintain competitive employment from an approved ODSP Employment Support Provider.

Who is eligible for Employment Supports under the ODSP?


You may be eligible for Employment Supports under the ODSP if you have a physical or mental disability that is expected to last a year or more and your disability makes it hard for you to find or keep a job.
You must also be:
* willing and able to work;
* living in Ontario;
* able to work in Canada; and
* 16 years of age or older.

If you are already working but having difficulty keeping your job because of your disability, you may also qualify for ODSP Employment Supports.

You do not have to be receiving ODSP Income Support to be eligible for Employment Supports.

If you are eligible for, or receiving disability or rehabilitation benefits from other public or private sources, you may not be eligible for ODSP Employment Supports.

People who participate in Ontario Works are not eligible for ODSP Employment Supports. They receive employment assistance from Ontario Works.
